Mutant X is a team of new mutants, products of genetic engineering who possess incredible powers, such as the ability to walk through walls, immitate the abilities of animals and generate electricity from their bodies. They are led by a mysterious scientist, known only as Adam who's original experiments are responsible for creating the new mutants.

In an effort to bring these innocent victims of his experiments in from the cold, Adam has created Mutant X. They fight against the government department that Adam used to work for as they are hunting them down to try and keep a lid on their experiments. One by one, the mutant x team will track down the thousand or so mutants out there and help them come to terms with their lives and their powers.
